I got caught in a storm, mid-summer (on mtb) in Montana one time. Snow pellets, with a temp drop of about 20 degrees. It was in a burn area, and the trees were old enough that the wind brought them down all around me. I had to climb over, around, and under about 12 trees in a mile. I would have had to walk out if I was on a moto. I suggest folks find out how old a burn area is, and if it's older, plan ahead. You never know what might happen.

Haven't heard you complain alot about the steering radius of the new bike like you would on the Beta's. Typical KTM/Husqvarna owner, crickets when there's something shitty about there bikes.

What do you carry your spare fuel in strapped to the mudguard?

I am getting this bike tomorrow. My first 2 stroke and I’m very excited. However, I’ve been reading a lot of complaints about these TBI bikes fouling plugs all the time. What do you do exactly to warm up your bike when you first start it? Also I will be breaking in my bike. Do you think riding easy for 2 hours is ok before the first oil change? Any other tips with this motor? Thanks for any info you can share!

I may have missed it in one of your other videos so I apologize in advance… Have you done anything to your motor and/or ECU mapping? I’m towing with the idea on my 24 KTM 300 of at least doing something with the mapping because it feels way too rich throughout a lot of the power curve. Not sure I want to put a performance head or insert on it as of yet. Also, I’m very curious about your map switch. After writing my bike I just decided not to put it on for now because I didn’t really see a big need however I would be curious about your thoughts and whether you use it or not? Thank you. Oh and just as a follow up I recently only got 53 miles off of very topped off tank of gas. We were doing quite a bit of single track. Little disappointing on the range for the stock tank and of course there was gas in the tank when it ran out, I definitely like you will be caring fuel bottles.

A little sketchy you said several times? I’m 70 live in Kansas with an elevation of 1300’ and get dizzy just standing up so for me the whole ride was sketchy AF and I loved watching your video as I do all your videos. I don’t always watch them when they first come out but save them for later enjoyment so it probably messes with your ratios or something. I even go back to re watch some especially when you’re test riding a bike.Great videos always and love the drone panerama shots.Thanks for what you do and all the work that goes into making them.

I just recently purchased a SmartCarb 2 for my older 2011 KTM-300 xc and I love it! When you install the carb you have to trim the boot so air gets through the carb properly + it's also recommended after the SC-2 carb is installed to ride the bike for 4 to 6 hours before making any adjustments. I bought the Billit SmartCarb 2 & it works & runs very,very good! One very small issue & Technology Elevated will tell you this and it does save some fuel & also you will lose a miniscule of low end but I put a 12 tooth front sprocket on my KTM-300 + just a quarter turn on the powervalve and the old 2011 runs like new! Give it a chance it is American made & I know you will iron the small issues out.

@PNW Enduro How does the bike feel vs the KTM 300 xc-w you rode previously? I'm considering one of the two bikes and they both are probably great but curious to your opinion since you have a bit more experience with two strokes/enduro and have ridden both.

So the trasmission on the 24 xcw is the same as 24 xc 300. The only differences are suspension and sprockets???

Eveen jarvis replace to kyb from wp because wp its shit and jarvis ride on hasqy and hasqy with wp and he prefer kyb kyb better than wp.

You still have your tx 300??? Do you like the te 300 pro better?? On the fence about tx or te. Still chasing my 14 year old son around fast wide open trails. Occasionally track very rare tho.
